Now here is a "traditional" craft with such…
We do love all of the independent designers who appear to us through the power of the internet, and have LOVED everything on Canadian online boutique BabaSouk.
In particular we were rather drawn to Stephanie’s unique gift wrap packaging – the use of the butcher’s twine is so ‘now’ and she has made the hole punch gift wrap gift look as special as what’s inside!
We think it’s great to take time to gift wrap – it makes that gift-opening even more special (and extends the focus on the recipient too!)
We use simple brown craft paper ourselves at Christmas – it’s so much more economical than the shop-bought printed mass produced Christmas gift wrap. Potato printing is fun and easy to do… so whether you print on some holly leaves, or some lovely white Christmas bells, it will make your gift wrapping unique!
So back to BabaSouk’s fabulous idea – hole punch gift wrap – use the brown parcel paper over the top of some patterned tissue paper (or even some sheets from a magazine – what a great way to recycle!) for a really fun and creative hole punch gift wrap!
