DIY cardboard castle
There is nothing more fun and fairytale than a DIY cardboard castle – this is a BRILLIANT project for both boys and girls and will completely fire their imagination and story telling.
My boys LOVE the story of the Princess and the pea, and it’s one that I’ve told them over and over again – there are so many amazing stories involving castles – and I’ll admit, I love the imagery that the fairy story by Hans Christian Andersen conjures up – the Princess standing at the front door of the castle, drenched with rain – and what fun you could have creating the pile of mattresses too!
So get collecting all of that old cardboard, your kitchen roll tubes, and your grocery boxes, you never know when you might need to get creative! And as AcornPies says over on their blog where we spotted this sweet craft, this really is a great rainy day project for the holidays.
And when the sun comes out, you could venture outdoors with your cardboard castle, and create a moat around it, a forest for the gallant prince to gallop through on his trusty steed – get carried away and have fun with this one… do pop over to check out the full post with hints and tips from AcornPies here
