DIY Tin Storage

tin storageDIY Tin Storage

I must admit to have been drawn to this craft visually before I actually ready the how to over on Better Homes and Gardens –  however, having read their simple step by step instructions, we are going to have a go at turning our old tins, into an on the desk storage solution!

I have often seen old cake tins in charity shops, and thought, well, what would I do with that rusty thing, not wanting to keep a cake in it… so this seems like a fab way of upcycling something quite beautiful and battered into a useful useable object – storage!

We could imagine it full of marbles in one layer, lego in the next, and pencils and pens in the top layer – really pretty way of keeping the kids shelves tidy too!

Who needs cakes anyway…
