Your June Staycation Style Sorted

Uncategorized

16 Jun

With summer on its way and the kids breaking up from school, both couples and families alike will be sneaking in a staycation this June. Here’s what coats, outfits and shoes to pack in your staycation suitcase for this unpredictable Summer  weather:

  1. Waterproofs

However sunny it might be when you set off, remember that the weather in the UK can turn on a sixpence! Lightweight waterproofs are an absolute must when out and about sightseeing or enjoying the great British countryside. A pac a mac is ideal for popping in your bag.

  1. Warm Layers

A good getaway wardrobe for all weathers will include lots of lovely layers to add and subtract as you please. Joules is a great British brand that always has gorgeous gilets, cosy hoodies and comfy ponchos for covering up in.

  1. An Evening Jacket

If you’re planning on going out of an evening, it’s highly likely that you’ll need a jacket to take off the chill. Don’t ruin a lovely outfit by throwing your casual coat on over it! If you’ve only got room in your case for one coat, a silk bomber will work just as well after dark as it does during the day.

  1. Perfect Pants

We all love our jeans but denim can be a restrictive fabric – plus when it gets wet, it gets really really wet! A pair of lightweight utility pants will be far comfier for shopping, sightseeing and all those other holiday activities that will see you covering plenty of ground. James Perse is a good label to look at for comfy but smart ‘athleisure’.

  1. Comfy Kicks

Holidays in the UK are unlikely to involve much lounging poolside or strutting along soft sands. Instead it’s likely that you’ll be getting cultured in our cities or making the most of the great outdoors. Comfort is key when it comes to footwear and, as luck would have it, sneakers are the shoe of the moment for June!
