Whenever we go out on a walk in Autumn, we come home with a pocketful of conkers (chestnuts). This is such a fun way to use conkers in a crafty way to produce mini pumpkins (or other Halloween creatures!). These are originally by the fabulous Sew Kidding – but it looks like the blog isn’t available anymore! Boo hoo.
Crafts which once made can be stored at the end of the season are a great way to expand your decor year on year. You can mkae fabric pumpkins two ways, either learn how to sew a pumpkin here, or check out this no sew version, although it’s cute enough you’ll want to keep it out all year!
This pumpkin craft is perfect for Halloween! Is it just our kids who get over excited at the idea of trick or treating? Sometimes they need a few minutes of calm, and these calm down balls for kids are perfect! They might also work well if you have a birthday party around Halloween – they’d make a lovely party bag Pumpkin stress ball filler! Alternatively, check out these flour filled Halloween Squishies on Red Ted Art – there is a pumpkin and a ghost version. Fabulous.
Pumpkin decor doesn’t have to cost the earth, literally! Get your neighbours to save their empty toilet tissue rolls for you! This fall pumpkin garland is so simple but really effective – you could decorate an entire room with it!
Is it just us that has a “button jar”? Collecting buttons in a jar is something we’ve done for years, and this beautiful Button Pumpkin would look fabulous on any wall!
