Aaaah, here is a cute little craft for St Patrick's…
What a brilliant idea, the paper clip bookmark!
When the children start to read ‘chapter books’ so their obsession with bookmarks begins…
I remember vividly the delight in buying lenticular bookmarks myself for the Christmas stockings, so it’s no surprise that the kids in this house are also ANTI folding over the corner of the page to mark their ‘place’ in the book.
When we borrow books from friends, or from the library, they know the book-borrowing etiquette of not folding over the page, and NOT cracking the spine (you can imagine them gingerly holding the books half open to read them!) So we love the idea of a paper clip bookmark. And using buttons in this craft is an added bonus. I’d love to see these with giant paperclip pom-poms too.
A special bookmark is therefore essential for not only the children in your life, but for Granny, and Best Friends too, for these simple to make paper clip bookmarks would make most excellent gifts too, as well as making their own reading experience special. Go GIANT with your paperclip for extra effect!
