My kids and I adore crafting Christmas Ornaments this time…
citrus DIY front door mat
There is nothing more welcoming than a cheery front door mat, and believe me, we’ve had our fair share of shoddy front door welcomes – it’s a really simple way to cheer up the front door – sometimes time just skips by and you don’t realise how scruffy the front of your house gets! A cheery welcome, and in this case, departure to the home will raise the spirits of those tired bods dashing home to and from school – they’ll be practically skipping over the threshold!
So time for a fresh look at your welcome mat, it is Spring after all… in fairness, this craft from The House that Lars Built would be a great idea for those wintery months too, bringing a ray of sunshine to your door!
This one is a bit of a grown up craft, as a steady hand and patience is required, however, as it will have a cheery impact on all of the family, it’s definitely one for involving the little ones in, as it’s definitely one you can do together.
And if you have friends or family moving home, or buying a new house, what a lovely idea for a house-warming gift for them! And to know that you’ve made it yourself will make it even more special for them – enjoy!
So check out The House that Lars built – amazing blog here, for all of the photos and information on what you’ll need for this craft, including stocking up on the spray paint here in the US, and here in the UK
