Stone ladybirds

stone ladybirdsLoving these shiny stone ladybirds from life as we know it this morning!

One of the simplest go-to crafts for us is finding the smoothest roundest stones in the garden or park, cleaning them up, drying them and painting them – either turning them into little green monsters, or people, or stone ladybirds!

There is something very lovely about turning that smooth tactile natural resource into something a little less organic such as these stone ladybirds! Watching a little character appear…

So you can imagine that these GIANT stone ladybirds really appealed on so many levels – we love the shiny finish, which has the added bonus of making them hardy enough to stay out in the garden – Something lovely and bright and colourful during the winter months.
