We’re all trying to instill a little more fruit into our children’s lives, and for whatever reason, our kids seem to push away the idea of anything healthy without even asking what it is or even trying it. Frustrating – we know, but it seems to be something that’s inevitable when in comes to having children… picky eaters! We’ve found this great fruit craft: DIY apple core project that is easy and makes fruit fun!
How many times have you offered your children some fruit and they ask for a sweet instead? How many times have the words ‘but it’s good for you’ been repeated in your home, but you couldn’t change the minds of your children regardless? Stubborn, yes, but stuck in their ways? We don’t think so, we all know how easy and quickly you can persuade children to go from loving to hating something or vice-versa, and that’s what we intend to do.
There are many debates to why so many kids reject fruit and veg, or anything seemingly healthy, but it’s important that we try and break that ideology earlier on in life, rather than later in life.
So what can we do? Try and associate fruit with fun projects like this with your kids. This fairly simple DIY Apple Core is a fun project that you can do with your kids, and even use as decorations after! We think this a perfect way to get your kids to change their negative mindset towards healthier options!
So give this lovely DIY Apple project a go with your children, it only involves some paper plate, red and green paint, and some card! This could be a good DIY to keep the kids entertained during the holidays or on the weekend. Have fun!
