Fun ways to add some quick decor to your home

Uncategorized

I don’t know about you, but we love some quirky little home decor ideas here and there.. a quick way to add some personalised fun to your home. So, I thought I would take a peak at some of the ideas out there!

Of course one quick way to add color to your home, is to simply use some stick and peel wall paper, but there are also some great DIYs to give a go.

This Recycled Toy Wreath really shouts out “CHILDHOOD”. Don’t you think?

All those Happy Meal memories.. playing (with those annoying little toys) and then brought together in this wonderfully bright and colourful wreath. I LOVE it. A brilliant way to get all those little toys into one neat place. The only problem with MY TWO, would be that they wouldn’t part with their toys.

So I think, we would have to get a set from the charity shop or ebay and make the wreath from those. Or make them when they are older, as a retro ‘studenty’ decoration. Either way, I think this Recycled Toy Wreath really fun and colourful way to upcycle all that plastic tat! Actually this begs the question, what do you call of of your ‘tat’? Some of us call it ‘toot’ and others ‘junk’ but either way, it can be VERY useful to collect it all together in one place – just look at how much creative fun you can have! Check out Infarrantly Creativefollow for full info!

I think this DIY Paper Lampshade is simply STUNNING! Simple, stylish, smart. And the best thing? It is inexpensive to make (just paper) AND can be customised to suit and colour and design in your home. Fancy a change? No problem! Make a new one… Make one, make 10. These DIY Paper Lampshades would make great gifts too. I am currently redoing all the kids bedrooms and I think they would be a great make for their room too! Simply fabulous.

If you give this DIY a go, I would love to hear from you and see how you found it!!! Do leave me comments below and let me know how you got on! Check out Design and Paper for info!

Aaaaah Spring is in the air (well almost), but regardless of the season, it is always nice to have some flowers around the house to cheer things up! And what better than having flowers that never die or wilt? These Paper Magnolias are simply STUNNING – one of my favourite Spring flowers and such a pretty pretty craft to make. Gorgeous. A perfect way to decorate your home for Spring or to cheer yourself up all year round. Visit Craft Berry Bush for more! These would look amazing with some fun wallpaper for bathroom too!

A wonderful work of art, that really shows you the potential of recycling plastic bottles!

Happy creating!
