DIY Bird House

Art· How Tos· Kids Crafts· Spring

What is it that draws us to the birdhouse?

Is it the simple shape? or the connotation that they are a lovely little house for the bird family?

Maybe it’s the childhood delight of seeing the baby birds with their open beaks waiting for their parents to return?!

Who knows – anyway, because of this love of bird houses, I can’t help but be DRAWN to the shape – whether painting them on paper, or hanging them in the back garden – the idea of having them decorating an interior wall just gets me everytime!

They can be either a rustic finish or as with these from Alice and Lois, paint them in colourful modern colours for a really cool contemporary look.
