Grid References! (Two Player Game)
This game will help children practice grid reference skills.
Set up: Print out two “What am I?” grid page and two of the same jumbled image pages. Then cut out the the squares from one of the image pages and mix them up into a pile. Player 1 gives Player 2 one “What am I?” grid, one whole image page and the mixed up pile of squares. Player 1 keeps one “What am I?” page. Note: Both the “What am I?” grid and the image page have grid references on them e.g. A2, D3 etc.
To play: Player 1 calls out a grid square, for example A1, and then marks that square to highlight it has been called. Player 2 then looks at their image page and identifies the image square with the corresponding grid reference (the image under A1). Once found they look for the image in their pile and then place it on their “What am I?” grid in the appropriate square (A1 in this example). The process is then repeated until all the grid references have been called out! All going well Player 2 will have a completed image arranged in the right sequence!
Scrambled! (One to Five PLAYER GAME)
This game will help young children with simple problem solving skills.
Set up: Print out one “What am I?” grid page and different image page per player. Cut out the image squares and shuffle them into a pile. Give each player a “What am I?” grid page and a pile of image squares upside down.
To play: Once all the players are ready shout “Start”. The players can then turn over their image squares and start to place them onto the “What am I?” grid page. The first one to unscramble the picture and shout out the name of the image wins!
Now your turn! What games can you invent using the Easter Picture Slice Puzzles pack!
Have fun!
